Saved from me

Christ has come. I'm saved from me-
  no longer a slave to my sin.
Debts have been canceled eternally,
  for Jesus now lives within..

Forgiving sins- my evil desires,
  lust of the flesh and eye,
pride of life and all it requires,
  anger and every lie.

Though I stumble from day to day,
  I'm not defined by my deeds.
When Christ came, He came to stay,
  redefining me as He leads.
 
No longer a prisoner of my past,
  nor lost on a stormy sea.
Thanks to God, I'm free at last-
  I've been saved from me.

Dear God

Dear God,
Help me to be odd-
by daring to care more
for those beyond my door,
even when they're flawed.
Help me, Dear God.

Dear Christ,
Help when I'm enticed-
to turn away from sin,
to live my life within
the love you sacrificed.
Help me, Dear Christ.

Dear Lord,
Help me be restored-
renew my heart and soul,
with love my only goal,
and You as my reward.
Help me, Dear Lord.
